Full Moon in Taurus: What's Haunting You?

The Full Moon this month will occur on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 7 degrees Taurus at 12:05pm Universal Time.

Oooohhh, child! This lunar cycle revolves around my favorite topics: sexuality + healing. And how appropriate that Halloween is right around the corner, since this Full Moon in Taurus (opposite Sun in Scorpio) is dealing with old issues haunting us to be healed. The Cosmos really do have excellent comedic timing.

The zodiac sign of Taurus is ruled by the planet Venus, which equals love, beauty, attraction and the finer things in life. This Taurus/Venus combo rules sensuality and indulgence – think of the Goddess Aphrodite, stimulating the 5 senses and glorifying them in every area of life. Any true Taurean you know is all about that luxe life! I call them the “Four Seasons” of the zodiac. Sweet digs, beautiful clothes, fast cars, amazing food + 1,000 thread count sheets. Nothing but the best, baby. This kind of overindulgence may also lead to problems if it becomes obsessive or without clear intentions. Are you spending because you can and because you enjoy it or are you trying to prove your worth? Are you hoarding assets because you're afraid that if you let go, you'll LOSE? It may be time to shift your entire perspective on what pleasure and enjoyment means to you.

In any moon cycle, we also have to take note of the duality of the sign: in this case Taurus’s opposite sign, Scorpio. And it stings. If Taurus is about holding on, Scorpio is about letting go. And it's not easy to do so. Both signs want to hang on for dear life. Taurus out of fear and Scorpio out of the desire for power + control. Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, the planet of death, destruction and rebirth. Issues of power struggles, sexuality, obsessions, manipulation, old behaviors and unhealthy patterns are popping up left and right for one reason and one reason alone: to be SEEN and to be HEALED. It’s time to LET GO and REFORM outdated ways of being. And as we all know, old habits die hard.

TAKE NOTE: Nothing will last if it’s not build on an authentic foundation, especially right now.

If things are beginning to crumble, if you’re feeling the burn, if your issues are staring you in the face, say Thank You. It’s time to destroy and rebuild. The Universe will force you sooner than later to reevaluate your personal and spiritual values so that you know why and what you’re actually working towards. Integrity will save you, but first you must define what that means. You can find 7 degrees Taurus in your birth chart (visit my homepage HERE and click on the link to get your Free Natal Chart Report) to see in which house this energy is manifesting for you this month. For me, it's hitting my 9th house of Spiritual Values and Life Philosophy. It's time to really figure out what that means to me and how I can use it to heal the parts of my Inner Child that still need love and attention. Same goes for you.

Taurus rules our 2nd house of Possessions, Personal Values + Self Worth. Scorpio rules our 8th house of Sex, Deep Dark Transformation, the Occult + Others [especially their resources]. It’s dark down there yet without dark, there is no light. Darkness can be a good thing. Also, with Taurus/Scorpio always think “Mine vs. Yours”. Any time Taurus pops up, we’ll be dealing with themes of money, values + holding on. With Scorpio, we need to address where we’re using our power to manipulate versus regenerate. Where can we dig deep to let go? Possessiveness or battling for power and prestige through nasty behavior will bury us alive.

The energy of Scorpio helps us heal whatever we’ve stuffed down or repressed. Whatever is buried begins to surface now, whether you like it or not (and you probably don’t, because looking at our crap is challenging). Whatever we’ve refused to deal with is beginning to haunt us. Suffering is optional. A lot of these wounds are so deeply hidden that we don’t even know they exist. Healing modalities like hypnosis or past life regression can work wonders in this realm. Seek out alternative forms of therapy at this time, since Scorpio rules the buried subconscious layers as well as mystical + esoteric sciences. Call your favorite psychic. Bust out your crystals. Chill with your shaman. Hit your yoga mat for some kundalini mantras + breathwork (Scorpio rules sexuality and our kundalini energy is our sexual life-force. Tap into that!). Dial up your acupuncturist. Your healers are your most valuable resources, so don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Uncovering our secret wounds takes time, patience, humility and an objective eye.

And as it relates to Scorpio/8th House of Others, relationships will begin to be your tool of healing, because within our relationships we have the perfect mirror to show us what’s going on within ourselves. All of our unresolved issues are our own responsibility to examine and deconstruct.

Any lesson unlearned or that you refuse to acknowledge stays on repeat.

Bless every relationship in your life at this moment, most importantly the extremely difficult ones, even if they are a part of your past. THEY are your pot of gold. Mommy/Daddy issues? Painful breakups that have yet to be resolved? Conflicts and ego battles top of mind? Meditate on whatever you’re totally resisting or projecting onto others in your life. Your boyfriend, your husband, your kids, your boss...you get the idea. The blame game won’t get you anywhere except back to square one and Taurus energy may lead us into denial or clinging to what isn’t serving us by virtue of fear of change. Taurus likes to play it safe, but deep down you already know better than that.

Remind yourself that the only constant in life is change.
